This event is terrific EXP and also earns guild merit and funds. I've been told it's level 50+, but have seen a few lower levels in there. Bring your highest character in the guild for this one, please!
To join the event, you enter our base. Members, just use Mathew the teleporter at the docks in Freedom Harbor. Non-members can take a teleporter to Fairy's Ring in Gloomy forest and head East. Press M (for map) and you will see Beholder's Peak to the far East. Our base is a symbol that looks like a greek column (To me, anyways). Just use your flying mount (Such as the balloons everyone can get)to avoid mob agro.
Once There, run up the ramp and click the pink stone to enter the CrossGuard base. When inside, you will wait for 2 NPCs to spawn (If they haven't already). One will take member's to the event place, the other takes non-members. We will all be in the same place once teleported.
NOTE: When the event is started (It is posted in world chat by the game system), you are given 15 mins to enter the instance. After that it closes and the event itself begins a few mins after
Event Notes:
An Exo has 4 stages. Its to best to be mounted until the last stage. If you have mounted combat, you can stay mounted the entire Exo.
Stage one: Different altars will spawn in 3 different spots along the back wall and sides. You click an alter to gather the substance. Once gathered, it will freeze you a moment as a mob spawns. IGNORE the mob and run towards the other end of the map (It's not a big map) to it's corresponding pillar. Here, you don't have to stop. If your lower level, you may need to pause there to heal up as it's a healing aura as well. Here you gain lots of exp! Run back to the same altar and repeat this process, gaining EXP each time you run into the pillar area.
Keep doing this until this stage is complete even when your EXP maxes so that the next stage will begin. EXP gains start over each stage, so be sure to keep helping in each stage to help things go more quickly.
Presents will spawn on the ground, click on one and wait for the 2nd stage to start
Stage Two: In this stage, Soul traps will spawn. You will simply click these over and over until repaired, gaining EXP for each completed click. It's not a very hard stage
Keep doing this until this stage is complete even when your EXP maxes so that the next stage will begin. EXP gains start over each stage, so be sure to keep helping in each stage to help things go more quickly.
Presents will spawn on the ground, click on one and wait for the 3rd stage to start
Stage 3: The soul traps have all been repaired and a bunch of mobs will spawn to attack the pillars. Our job is to attack these mobs until we kill enough to start the 4th, and final, stage. They really don't do anything other than attack the soul traps the entire time. I don't believe I've seen anyone die from this...ever.
The boss also spawns. Do NOT attack it!! Instead, the boss runs around to someone (A large pink targeter appears over their head) to 'trap' them. Each time a player is trapped, we lose 1 on the counter for completing this stage. The first time the boss agros on you, you receive the exorcism skill. Be sure to have a spot emptied on your hot bar before this point to make it easier for you. When you click this skill, it attempts to send the boss to another player so you are not trapped. EVERY player should use this skill in the hopes none ever gets trapped...because we are constantly sending it in another direction.
Keep doing this until this stage is complete even when your EXP maxes so that the next stage will begin. EXP gains start over each stage, so be sure to keep helping in each stage to help things go more quickly.

Stage 4:Boss kill time. If you under level 70, go to one of the soul traps and click it. You will be giving 3 options. The last option is fire and is an attack. The other 2 are important as well. These other 2 'beams' are holy and pure. One reduces the mobs armor and allow the fire (and players)to hit harder. The other reduces the boss's attack. You can pump each of this colors 3 times and then spam fire while the boss attack party engages him. Be sure to pump up the fire by using the other 2 types of lasers off and on. Pay attention to your damage numbers etc
There is a lot of argument on how this stage is run...but I CAN tell you this: In EXOs where people did not get on the soul traps, people died. A LOT. It took forever to kill the boss. We succeeded because people finally listened and got on the soul taps and started using the lasers.
DO NOT NEGLECT THE LASERS!
Those in the boss kill party usually consist of tanks and healers and very high damage toons. Please, if your under level 70 or not well geared, use the lasers. It's faster this way and will be FAR more effective. We don't care WHO kills the boss, because...it's a GROUP effort.
